Apartment Above Stark Industries, Monday Morning

Steve had jumped out of bed with his hair and beard perfectly in place (and his belt and boots still on, which had been Very Comfortable and Not at All Inconvenient, thanks so much for wondering) and began doing his daily pushups (showing off all 30 points of articulation, heck yeah) as he watched Karla on the screen in their room that JARVIS had helpfully shown them (so helpful, that JARVIS).

"Served Skywalker right," he declared pompously righteously pompously and righteously as he stood up to his full 12 inches. "Don't you think so, Tony?"

Tony was in full armor and, you know, made of plastic.

Which was pretty different if he really concentrated on that thought.

And was starting to be concerned that the beard on Steve was a clear sign of him being kinda evil. Some real Mirror Universe shit there.

That just made Tony think of an orange Muppet for some reason.

"I think it matters." He thought Steve should think it mattered too, but that was for another day. "We should know so... We don't make that mistake either."

Steve gave Tony a quick, appraising look, then shrugged it off. Tony wasn't part of the other people he should be watching out for. Tony was Tony.

...probably. Something in his plastic stomach coiled uncomfortably at even thinking like that.

"Not sure asking questions'll get you anywhere you want to be," Steve said, waving in the general direction of the junkyard.

"Don't want you getting hurt," Steve mumbled, heading over to his drawer and replacing his flat hands with his gesturing hands (next to the punching hands) from the selection. "Skywalker obviously stuck his neck out too far on something. You're smarter than that," he said, pushing in the new accessories.

He'd change out his head in a bit. But for now, it was just awkward face mashing. Because they were literally dolls.
